St Ives Cornwall

Bamaluz beach is quite a small beach backed by large walls in the town of St Ives Cornwall. It is a sand and pebble Beach accessed by steep steps and backed by large rocks of which very little is accessible at high tide. Bamaluz is the only beach in St Ives which is dog friendly all year and so can get a little crowded with dogs at busy times. Only really worth visiting if you have a dog and probably not worth visiting for a day on the beach, but if you are in St Ives and have a dog and catch it at a quiet time it can be a lovely place for your dog to have a run on the beach or to relax for a while. No facilities actually at the beach but lots nearby. To access the beach park at one of the St Ives car parks and follow the coast from the harbour towards Porthgwidden beach and you will pass Bamaluz.

Watch Video Of Sandymouth Beach Cornwall

Sandymouth Beach is a great beach at the North end of Bude . It is a National Trust beach with a beautiful cafe and toilets which are open in the summer months. There is a National Trust car park. The descent down the path can be difficult as the path gives way to a pebble ridge that descends to the sandy beach. When at the sand it stretches for just over a mile. The beach is watched over by beautifully high towering cliffs and a waterfall that children love to play in. There are also rock pools to explore. Sandymouth is popular with surfers and the surf here is said to be great but when it gets above 3 feet it is best left to those with experience. Sandymouth Beach is lifeguarded from mid May until mid September. The beach is only accessible at mid to low tide and so always seek advice before straying too far from the beach entrance. Sandymouth Beach Bude is a dog friendly beach in Cornwall all year and does not have any seasonal dog restrictions. A real gem in the area!
