Marazion Cornwall has a long beach with usually a calm sea (although sometimes it can turn wavy - to the delight of the kite surfers). The beach is lovely although, particularly in winter, can become covered in seaweed. In summer Marazion Cornwall beach is usually a nice place to sit and enjoy the sunshine (maybe with an ice cream), it is also a great beach to walk and play on.

If the tide is out you can walk across the causeway from Marazion to St Michael's Mount. If the tide is in you can ride across in a small boat. Access to Marazion beach has seasonal restrictions in place for dogs.

From the beach at Marazion you can see St Michael's Mount which is a Medieval Castle situated on the tidal island off the coast of Marazion. At low tide you can walk across the spectacular cobbled causeway or at high tide take a ride in one of the boat taxis. Explore the island community, harbour, cafe and gift shop before entering the gardens and then the castle which is still inhabited by the ancestral family. Fantastic costal views. National trust property and therefore entrance fees apply.

For children Marazion has an excellent free play ground next to the beach with some really fun things to play on including a rope slide.

All Saints Church in Marazion is a beautiful Church and is often open to visitors. The congregation are very welcoming to visitors and locals if you would like to attend one of the regular services. If you are in Marazion at Christmas time then their Christmas tree display is a must see.

Read more details about walking from Marazion Cornwall around Mount's Bay to Mousehole Cornwall.

Marazion also has a nature reserve, a marsh area between Marazion and Ludgvan, at the Penzance end of the town which is a good place to bird watch. You can't actually access the reserve but you can see clearly from the pavement running alongside.

There is plenty of paid parking in Marazion and a number of public toilets. Marazion Cornwall is on a main bus route. There is no train station, the nearest being Penzance.
